    Thank you for this tutorial. I have thin fine hair and some of the perimeter locs in the front and in back don't stay twisted, roots have thinned because of bunching. Now watching this video i think i can interlock those and it will work better for me. Mine were started with coils and I've been locksmithing or palm rolling the roots.

    Can i interlock my hair and retwist it within 2 weeks

    • @GlamNaturalLife
      @GlamNaturalLife Місяць тому

      Absolutely not. Don’t try your bald. You won’t have hair to retwist unless your grow really fast. When you interlock you will see you won’t have to touch your hair for a while- which is why most of us love interlocking. And after you interlock don’t do it again until you can for 2 fingers in the new growth comfortably

    • @GlamNaturalLife
      @GlamNaturalLife Місяць тому

      I have heard and see on UA-cam that you can comb out any locs. But to me they are all permanent because I will never have the patience to comb out. If I don’t want them anymore I would cut them and make my hair grow back. ☺️

    TY. ARE YOU TWISTING AS YOU GO

    • @GlamNaturalLife
      @GlamNaturalLife Місяць тому

      Interlocking the enter loc and keeping the loc held tight and lightly spinning/twisting the frizz around the loc as I go. This helps to get the loose hairs into the loc and make it looks neater

    • @GlamNaturalLife
      @GlamNaturalLife Місяць тому

      Leave in spray or water and Dr Locs Imani locking spray to hold my frizzes down in place. But you really don’t need product just rewet if new growth getting dry as you go.

    Baby I was about to throw those extra tools out. I had no idea what they were for lol. Thank you for this video! I usually go to a Loctician and have my hair palm rolled, but I’ll need to save money a little bit more this year and my new growth is a lot just like yours. I think this will be helpful for keeping things neat (and be able to get in the water during summer) without quick unravels all the time after a retwist

    AFTER 4 YEARS OF RETWISTING, I GOT A LOT OF LOOSE HAIR THAT WIULD NOT LOCK INTO MY DREADS, SO I DECIDED TO INTERLOCK AND WHAT A DIFFERENCE😊 I DECIDED JUST TO DO IT ONCE A YEAR , IF NEEDED😊

    • @GlamNaturalLife

      It does make a world of difference. Sometimes I wish the loose hair around my finger so it look like a loc and when I am interlocking it’s easier to see it to make sure that it gets interlocked into the loc TIGHT. lol

    I really needed this tough love to come to terms with starting over, i have had dreads for 5 years now, obviously coming from a different texture, i was 18 when i got them and know sm more now, theyve just got to the length of long long but essentially i either need to go very short dreads or brush out and start again, its a hard choice as ive never not imagined myself without them, i dont think ill bother with extensions this time, just have short ones and wait for them to grow, im torn between just cutting my loses going natural for a year or if i can salvage 30% of my dreads. At this point the lint is mass amounts, i dont want to ignore the problem by dyeing it, but i might chop it to shoulders and find more lint which will mean just starting over, id have to have natural hair for about a year, when i got installed my hair was past my shoulders but shrunk a looot, and it does cost a lot as youre starting from scratch with crochet to get new ones. 5 years werent the best emotionally, so the chop is coming.
